How We Help
Our practice is rooted in the simple idea that
people matter most.
At Affirma, we believe that the practice of leadership starts with affirming who you are—your values, your perspective, and the unique approach you bring to your role.
Our mission is to partner with people leaders, providing customized, people-focused HR solutions that are not only strategic but deeply aligned with your leadership goals.
Our approach focuses on the Employee Lifecycle. We work on the areas needed by combining two powerful frameworks to ensure success:
The 4 P's
A Framework for People-Centered Solutions Overlaying the lifecycle, the Four P's—Policies, Practices, Processes, and People—provide the structure needed to ensure your HR strategy is both effective and equitable. At any given moment in the employee lifecycle, we apply this framework to evaluate and enhance your people operations. Whether it's during talent acquisition or performance management, the Four P's help identify potential threats to psychological safety, well-being, or belonging, as well as opportunities to nourish your team’s growth and engagement. By integrating these two models, we deliver curated, organized support that’s tailored to your organization’s unique needs while ensuring results. Together, we build people-centered strategies that affirm great leadership and foster a thriving, engaged workforce.
BICEPS
A Framework for Keeping People Happy, Healthy, and Here: Addressing Neurological Core Needs Coined by Paloma Medina, the BICEPS, an equity-centered, social behavior framework. Establishing a shared language to better communicate and navigate moments of stress, challenge, conflict and change, whether internal – within ourselves or external – with others. Whether it's during talent acquisition or performance management, applying the lens of the help identify potential threats to psychological safety, well-being, or belonging, as well as opportunities to nourish your team’s growth and engagement.
The employee lifecycle serves as the timeline by which we assess and support the leadership of people operations. From recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee retention, every phase of this lifecycle reflects how you lead and set your team up for success. We use the 4 P's and BICEPs frameworks at each stage to ensure a people-centered approach to culture development.
By focusing on this range, we’re able to identify opportunities for growth and pinpoint where things may be falling short. For example, how are you welcoming new hires and send off exiting team members? Are expectations and available support clearly communicated upfront and reiterated often? How do you show up for your people in times of stress, challenge, or conflict?
These moments define your leadership practice and play a significant role in the overall employee experience.
